After Black Swan secured great mortgage deals for both of my sisters and their respective partners, when it came to remortgaging my house Ken was my first port of call. I was a bit nervous as to what might happen, as I’d had to put down a large deposit to get my original mortgage, and then had to fund renovating my house using 0% credit cards, with the total balance sitting at just over £20k. My intention was to borrow some equity back out of my house to pay off these cards as I remortgaged. What I wasn’t expecting to be able to do was reduce the remaining term of my mortgage down from 30 years to 15, to increase my mortgage to pay off the credit cards, and to reduce the amount I was paying each month (mortgage and credit cards vs. just new mortgage) by £150! Ken did some quick sums, and by doing this he has saved me something in the region of £170k – more than my house is even worth! Service was absolutely first class and I couldn’t have been happier. It was all really easy, and I hardly had to do a thing. A far cry from the experience I had taking out the initial mortgage via ‘The UKs leading mortgage intermediary brand’.
